Ethanol has the molecular formula C2H5OH

Ethanol, has a boiling point of approximately 78°C. It is generally characterized as a clear, colorless liquid that is highly flammable and possesses a high octane value, making it an effective alternative fuel.

Ethanol is commercially distributed in the form of Denatured Ethanol, which refers to ethanol blended with fuel additives in accordance with formulas prescribed by the Excise Department and compliant with the regulations of the Department of Energy Business regarding ethanol quality standards.

When denatured ethanol is blended with base gasoline at proportions of 10%, 20%, and 85%, it produces gasohol fuels known as E10, E20, and E85, respectively, which are widely used as alternative fuels for automobiles in place of conventional gasoline.

Ethanol, or ethyl alcohol, can be produced from agricultural raw materials such as molasses and cassava through advanced processing technologies to obtain high-purity ethanol for use as a renewable alternative energy source.

The production process yields ethanol as the main product, along with biogas as a by-product, which can be utilized as thermal energy for various industrial production systems.
